More than any other season, whenever Summer comes, one of my immediate thoughts is, “I need to chop off all of my hair!!” Who’s with me?? And whether it be the need to cut your hair or change up the color, summer time is always a great time of year to do a little something different to your ‘do! So, go ahead, give your Cosmetologist a call today to set up your appointment–I know I’m going to. Check out some of the hottest trends for this summer 2016:

  1. Rainbow Bangs. This is a great way to add a lot of color, without going too overboard. You can mix a variety of colors for a true rainbow effect or add a few peek-a-boos with one color for a softer look. rainbow bangs - summer trends
  2. The Bob. Made popular almost a decade ago, the short bob (and even the longer bob or “Lob”) hasn’t gone anywhere and will definitely still be a go-to look for summer 2016. Typically pretty easy to maintain and style, it can be a great transition look if you’re too scared to go REALLY short!Bob haircut
  3. Long Layers. You can’t go wrong with long layers. As often as I feel the need to cut all of my hair off before summer, sometimes it is easier to just throw your hair up in a pony or bun and call it a day! With long layers, you can also opt for the beach waves so many of us desire to have.Chrissy Teigen And Kaitlyn Bristowe On "Extra"
  4. Eggplant. If you have dark hair but don’t want to damage it and looking for a fun, funky new color trend for summer, Eggplant will be a great choice! It’s a more subtle look and much better for your hair than, let’s say bleach. Which if you have darker hair, you know what I’m talking about!Eggplant Colored Hair
  5. Gray. Summer means lighter hair and that does include embracing your grays! Some women do become prematurely gray, while others do not, but whether you are becoming gray a little earlier than most or not, this summer instead of making an appointment with your hair stylist to cover them up, leave them be for some natural highlights 🙂 gray hair
  6. Naturally Big Hair. Embrace what your momma gave you and let out those curls! Plus, who wants to be under a hair dryer and flat iron for an hour+ when it’s 80 degrees outside?! Step out of the shower, throw in a frizz control serum, walk out the door and let the warm hair naturally dry your curls. It’s easy and a guaranteed way to stand out this summer! big hair
